Best online Quran academies for kids in the USA

The short answer
No academy suits every US family. For a female supervisor in every lesson and recordings parents can watch, look at us (from US$30 a month for one lesson a week). For named levels and an e-certificate, IQRA Network. For a part-time Islamic school curriculum, Noor Academy. For the highest Trustpilot rating here, QuranHost (4.9). To choose and manage a tutor yourself, Qutor.
For five 30-minute lessons a week, monthly plans here run from US$59 (ours) to US$140 (Noor Academy, shown beside a higher price). Academies that price by the hour come to about US$85 (Firdaws Academy), US$100 (Riwaq Al Quran) and US$120 to US$170 (IQRA Network) for the same ten hours a month.
Online Quran Learnings publishes this page and is one of the seven academies compared, so we may benefit if you choose us. Every fact about another academy comes from its own pages and Trustpilot (listed under Sources, with the date we read them); we applied the same checks to everyone, ourselves included. Prices and policies change, so please check each academy’s site before you pay, and tell us if anything here is wrong.

Online Quran Learnings (us)
- US$30, US$39, US$49, US$55, US$59 a month per child for one to five 30-minute lessons a week; Hifz lessons of 45 or 60 minutes, five a week, are US$85 and US$110. No registration fee and no sibling discount.
- A female supervisor joins every lesson live; you can join any class without telling us, and every lesson is recorded for parents to watch. Every child is tested at the end of each month, and the monthly progress report is based on that test.
- Our teachers are mostly based in Egypt, the UAE, India and Pakistan. We check every teacher’s ID and certificates before they teach, and a female supervisor joins every class. Every Hifz teacher is a hafiz or hafiza: they have memorised the whole Quran themselves. Because our teachers live outside the USA, we do not claim a US background check for them.
- Lessons can be booked at any hour, any day, in your own local time.
- Ask within 5 calendar days of the first paid class for a full refund. After that, attended classes are deducted and the rest is refunded.
May suit: families who want someone else in every lesson, a recording to watch, a monthly test, and prices in their own currency. More for families here: online Quran classes for kids in the USA.

The other six academies
IQRA Network
Private online courses billed by the hour: US$17, US$14 or US$12 an hour by plan, each with a native Arabic, institutionally certified teacher and an e-certificate, and 10% or 5% family discounts on the top two (pricing); every plan lists video recordings, an academic coach and progress reports (quarterly on the top plan, yearly on the lowest), and it invites families to start with a free lesson. Its memorisation course has four named levels, the first three entered by a test (course); its help centre says most teachers are in Egypt. A US company based in California. May suit: families who want a clear level structure, recordings and a certificate.
Noor Academy
One-to-one 30-minute Quran classes from US$39 a month for one a week to US$168 for six, each shown beside a higher price as a limited-time offer, with no registration fee, family discounts, and a 100% money-back guarantee within 7 days if the first week is not the right fit (pricing). Its home page says lessons are taught by Al-Azhar certified teachers with personal supervisors to ensure quality; its K-12 programme for ages 5 to 18, from US$69 a month, uses a curriculum it says was crafted by Al-Azhar scholars, with its own textbooks (home page). May suit: families who want a structured Islamic school curriculum beside Quran.
Riwaq Al Quran
Teachers it describes as Arab and Al-Azhar-certified, teaching in English or Arabic, with hourly pricing from US$10 to US$12 and at least two classes a week; it lists supervised programmes, recorded sessions and progress reports. Its price calculator shows US$7.50 a class by default, the 45-minute price at US$10 an hour, so confirm the lesson length in your quote. Its site asked our browser for a security check on 26 October 2026, so these facts are from our 2 October reading. May suit: families who want Arab teachers and longer lessons.
Firdaws Academy
Fifteen study plans of 30, 45 or 60-minute lessons at a regular rate of US$8.50 an hour, with Arab tutors proficient in English and French, optional lesson recording and playback, and a free trial (fees). May suit: families who want a low hourly rate and recordings.
QuranHost
Ijazah-certified tutors, male and female, with certified huffaz for its Hifz course in 45-minute sessions (home page). Plans from US$37 a month for two lessons a week to US$79 for five, each card listing progress reports, an e-certificate and a 5% or 10% family discount; the page also offers an extra 10% for every sibling (pricing). Up to 3 free trial classes with no card. A full refund only if you cancel before the billing month starts (refund policy). May suit: families who want huffaz for Hifz and a mid-range price.
Qutor
A marketplace where you choose and hire an independent tutor by the hour, plus a platform fee of 20% of the rate or US$1, whichever is greater; its terms say the teaching relationship is between student and tutor, and that Qutor takes no responsibility for verifying users’ identity or qualifications. “Parental Watch” saves random 30-second clips of lessons for parents. May suit: parents who want to choose and manage a tutor themselves. Side by side: Qutor vs Online Quran Learnings.

How to choose an online Quran academy for your child in the USA
- Ask who checks the teacher. A US background check applies to people in the US; if teachers live abroad, ask what the academy checks instead.
- Ask who else is in the lesson, whether you can join without notice, and whether it is recorded.
- Compare the monthly price for the number of lessons you want, and whether the academy bills by the hour.
- Ask for after-school times in your own time zone (Eastern, Central, Mountain or Pacific).
- Read the refund terms before the first payment.

How we chose and checked these academies
- We picked the academies that Google Gemini and Google’s top results named for parents in the USA on 26 October 2026, plus academies we already compare, and ourselves.
- Every fact comes from the academy’s own pages and its Trustpilot page; we did not use other comparison sites. Where an academy’s pages disagree, we say so. The date we read each page is under Sources.
- Prices are for one child a month, in the currency the academy shows. IQRA Network, Noor Academy and Firdaws Academy show “$” without naming the currency; on this page for US families we read it as US dollars.
- Trustpilot: ratings only, because the number of reviews behind each rating differs a great deal.
