The short answer

Online Quran classes can be very safe when safety is built into every lesson: someone else listening in, parents free to join at any time, no private contact between teacher and child, checked teachers, and classes held in a shared room at home. At Online Quran Learnings a female supervisor listens to every class.

Are online Quran classes safe for kids?: a guide for parents from Online Quran Learnings

Five rules in every one of our lessons

  • A female supervisor joins every lesson and listens to the whole class.
  • Parents can join any class without telling us first.
  • Lessons are recorded, and you can ask for your child’s recording.
  • If a teacher is not the right fit, we change them. No reason needed.
  • Teachers never message a child outside class. Every message goes through our team to you.

What you can do at home

  • Hold the class in a shared room you can see into.
  • Only the child’s face and hands need to be on camera.
  • Do not share your child’s school, address or schedule.
  • Tell your child they can always stop and come to you.
  • Only parents share contact details with the academy.

Questions to ask any academy

  • Who else is in the lesson with my child?
  • Can I join without warning?
  • Are lessons recorded, and can I see them?
  • Can the teacher contact my child directly?
  • How are teachers checked before they teach?
  • How do I change teacher?
