Best online Hifz programs for kids

Checked 2026-10-26 · Updated 2026-10-26 · By Online Quran Learnings

The short answer

There is no single best online Hifz program: it depends on how long your child can focus, how many days a week your family can keep, and who you want listening. For daily 30-minute lessons, compare the five-a-week plans: US$59 a month with us, US$65 at LiveQuranLessons (its general plan), US$79 at QuranHost and US$100 at Tabarak Academy; TarteeleQuran’s Hifz plan of 20 classes is US$175. For longer lessons, five a week, 45 minutes cost US$85 with us, US$90 at LiveQuranLessons and US$150 at Tabarak; an hour costs US$110 with us, US$118 at LiveQuranLessons and US$189.99 at Shaykhi.

Beyond price: we and LiveQuranLessons put a female supervisor in every lesson; we, QuranHost and Tabarak Academy say Hifz is taught by huffaz; IQRA Network publishes named levels with entry tests, QuranHost three levels and Tabarak six modules with monthly evaluations; IQRA, QuranHost and Tabarak give a certificate; TarteeleQuran tests every student each month through a separate quality team.

Online Quran Learnings publishes this page and is one of the seven programs compared, so we may benefit if you choose us. Every fact about another academy comes from its own pages (listed under Sources), read on 26 October 2026; we applied the same checks to everyone, ourselves included. Prices change, so please check each academy’s site before you pay, and tell us if anything here is wrong.

Where we fit: Hifz with a hafiz or hafiza, a female supervisor in every lesson, 30, 45 or 60-minute lessons five a week from US$59 a month, a test at the end of every month, and a free trial of up to 3 days with no card. See our Hifz program ↓

For five lessons a week, a month of 30-minute lessons costs US$59 to US$100 on the general plans that publish one (TarteeleQuran’s Hifz plan is US$175), 45 minutes US$85 to US$150, and an hour US$110 to US$200. Online Quran Learnings (us)

  • Every Hifz teacher is a hafiz or hafiza: they have memorised the whole Quran themselves. You choose a male or female teacher.

  • Every lesson follows manzil, sabqi and the new sabaq; most children start with Juz Amma.
  • Every child is tested at the end of each month, and the monthly progress report is based on that test.

The other six programs

LiveQuranLessons

Hifz plans with longer lessons, five days a week: US$90 a month for 45 minutes and US$118 for an hour (fees). It says a supervisor is on every class and its supervisors are women, parents may watch any lesson, and it offers up to 3 free trial classes with no card. May suit: families who want longer lessons with a supervisor present, and families with siblings (10% off a second child). Side by side: LiveQuranLessons vs Online Quran Learnings.

TarteeleQuran

A Hifz plan at US$175 a month for 20 classes (fees), plus a one-time registration fee it does not publish. All classes are recorded for quality checks and its quality team tests every student each month. It does not refund once classes are confirmed and one has taken place. May suit: families who weigh a long track record and a separate testing team. Side by side: TarteeleQuran vs Online Quran Learnings.

QuranHost

Its home page says certified huffaz teach its Hifz course, in 45-minute sessions, with male and female tutors; every lesson covers new memorisation (Sabaq), recent revision (Sabaqi) and older revision (Muraja’ah), in three levels up to revision and retention for huffaz, with monthly tests or progress reports “where applicable” and quality monitoring of recorded lessons (Hifz page). Plans run from US$37 for 8 lessons to US$79 for 20, with an e-certificate and family discounts of 5% to 10% by plan (pricing); up to 3 free trial classes with no card. A full refund only if you cancel before the billing month starts (refund policy). May suit: families who want 45-minute lessons with huffaz at a mid-range price.

IQRA Network

Four named levels, from readiness and Juz Amma (“Amma Achiever”) through Juz Tabarak (“Tabarak Trailblazer”) to an advanced level, the first three entered by passing a test (course page); most teachers are in Egypt and the family chooses the teacher’s gender. It bills by the hour: US$17, US$14 or US$12 an hour on its pricing page, each with an e-certificate and, on the top two, a 10% or 5% family discount; its help centre lists lower rates. No refund on closing an account. May suit: families who want a clear level structure and a certificate, and can book by the hour.

Tabarak Academy

Hifz for children aged 6 to 14, taught by Al-Azhar certified huffaz with a verified Ijazah, with female tutors available (Hifz page). Lessons of 30, 45 or 60 minutes, two to five a week; retention checked weekly, pace confirmed by monthly evaluations, and a certificate on completion. General plans from US$20 a month (one 30-minute lesson a week) to US$200 (five hours a week) (fees); a free first class with no card. May suit: families who want huffaz with Al-Azhar training, regular checks and a certificate.

Shaykhi Academy

A kids’ Hifz course whose teachers include Al-Azhar graduates, with recorded sessions so parents can track progress, and a separate Ijazah course after memorisation (Hifz page). Plans of 30, 40 or 60 minutes, one to five a week, from US$18.99* to US$189.99* a month, 10% off for families with a coupon, renewing monthly (fees); it says it operates under a UK-registered company. Its pages differ on the trial (one or two free classes). May suit: families who want the lowest price for one lesson a week, or 40-minute lessons.

How to choose an online Hifz program for your child

  • Is the teacher a hafiz or hafiza, and will the same teacher hear your child every day?
  • Does every lesson include older revision (manzil), not just new lines?
  • How long is a lesson, and can your child focus that long? For many children 30 minutes, five days a week, works better than fewer long lessons.
  • Is your child tested, and do you get a report you can act on?
  • Who else is in the lesson, can you watch, and is it recorded?
  • What happens to your money if it does not work out after the first month?

How we chose and checked these programs

  • We picked the programs that Google’s top results and Google Gemini named for “best online Hifz program for kids” on 26 October 2026, plus LiveQuranLessons and TarteeleQuran, which we compare elsewhere, and ourselves.
  • Every fact comes from the academy’s own pages and its Trustpilot page, read on 26 October 2026; we did not use other comparison sites. Where an academy’s pages disagree, we say so.
  • Trustpilot: we show ratings only, because the number of reviews behind each rating differs a great deal.
  • Prices are for one child a month in US dollars, as published. Where a Hifz page links to general plans, we show those and say so.

Which is the best online Hifz program for kids?

It depends on your child. For a hafiz or hafiza with a female supervisor in every lesson and a monthly test, look at us; for longer supervised lessons, LiveQuranLessons; for named levels and a certificate, IQRA Network; for a set routine with monthly evaluations, Tabarak Academy. Book two trials and see which teacher your child listens to.

How much does an online Hifz program cost?

For five lessons a week, 30-minute lessons cost US$59 to US$100 a month on the general plans that publish a price (TarteeleQuran’s Hifz plan is US$175), 45 minutes US$85 to US$150, and an hour US$110 to US$200 (26 October 2026).

Is a 30-minute Hifz lesson enough?

For many children, yes: a focused 30 minutes five days a week, plus 15 to 20 minutes of memorising at home. Older or faster children may do better with 45 or 60 minutes as their manzil grows. Several programs, ours included, offer all three.

Should a Hifz teacher be a hafiz?

It helps: a teacher who has memorised the whole Quran knows where students slip between similar passages. Every Hifz teacher at Online Quran Learnings is a hafiz or hafiza; QuranHost and Tabarak (for girls) say the same of their Hifz teachers.

Which online Hifz programs give a certificate?

IQRA Network and QuranHost list an e-certificate on their plans, and Tabarak Academy gives a certificate on completion. We do not issue certificates: every child is tested at the end of each month and the progress report is based on that test.

How long does online Hifz take for a child?

Most children take about 3 to 5 years for the whole Quran with steady daily lessons. No honest program promises a date; see how long Hifz takes.
