LiveQuranLessons vs Online Quran Learnings

Checked 2026-10-26 · Updated 2026-10-26 · By Online Quran Learnings

The short answer

They are close. Both teach children one-to-one with their own teachers, both put a female supervisor on every class, both let parents watch any lesson, and both charge US$39 a month for two 30-minute lessons a week.

The differences: we cost less at one, four and five lessons a week (five a week is US$59 with us and US$65 at LiveQuranLessons), and every lesson of ours is recorded for parents to watch. LiveQuranLessons takes 10% off a second child, has 45- and 60-minute Hifz lessons, and offers up to 3 free trial classes where we offer up to 3 days.

Online Quran Learnings publishes this page and is one of the two academies compared, so we may benefit if you choose us. Every fact about LiveQuranLessons comes from LiveQuranLessons’s own pages (listed under Sources), read on 26 October 2026. Prices and policies change, so please check LiveQuranLessons’s site before you pay, and tell us if anything here is wrong.

Where we fit: a female supervisor in every lesson, every lesson recorded for parents, from US$30 a month and a free trial of up to 3 days with no card. See the table ↓

Neither charges a registration fee. Year totals are twelve months of the monthly price, our sum.

Two children: LiveQuranLessons takes 10% off the second child, so two children on two lessons a week cost US$74.10 a month there and US$78 with us. On five lessons a week the order flips: US$123.50 there and US$118 with us. We have no sibling discount; each child has their own class and fee.

Hifz: LiveQuranLessons publishes Hifz plans with longer lessons, five days a week: US$90 a month for 45 minutes and US$118 for an hour. Our lessons are 30 minutes; for Hifz we suggest five a week, at the five-a-week price.

Who is in the lesson with your child

This is where the two are most alike. LiveQuranLessons says a supervisor is on every class, all its supervisors are female, she joins about 2 minutes before the lesson and then listens in, moving between the classes she covers, and parents may watch any lesson without asking first. It describes its lessons as “never a group, never a recording” and does not mention recordings for parents.

With us:

  • A female supervisor joins every lesson live and listens from start to finish (child safety).
  • Parents can join any class live, without telling us first.
  • Every lesson is recorded on the academy’s own Google Meet, and parents can watch their child’s recordings through our CRM.
  • Teachers never message a child outside class. Every message goes through our team to you.
  • If a teacher is not the right fit, we change them. You do not need to give a reason.

  • Trial: LiveQuranLessons offers up to 3 free trial classes; we offer up to 3 days free. Neither asks for a card.
  • Refunds: LiveQuranLessons refunds in full if you withdraw before regular classes start; after that it deducts the classes attended and refunds the rest. We refund in full if you ask within 5 calendar days of the first paid class; after that we deduct the classes attended and refund the rest (refund policy).
  • Contracts: neither asks for one. Both bill month by month.

Which suits your family

LiveQuranLessons may suit you if you have two or more children on two or three lessons a week (the sibling discount), your child is memorising and you want 45- or 60-minute Hifz lessons.

We may suit you if you want a supervisor in every lesson and a recording you can watch afterwards, one fixed teacher your child keeps, and a price that drops per lesson as you add classes: from US$30 a month for one lesson a week to US$59 for five. Families in the UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and the UAE pay in their own currency (fees).

The fairest test is the trial: book both, sit in on the lessons, and see which teacher your child listens to. Our questions to ask in a free trial help you compare like for like.

Is LiveQuranLessons cheaper than Online Quran Learnings?

For one child it is the same at two and three lessons a week (US$39 and US$49 a month at both). We cost less at one, four and five lessons a week. For a second child, LiveQuranLessons takes 10% off and we do not.

Do both have a female supervisor in the class?

Yes. LiveQuranLessons says a supervisor is on every class and all its supervisors are female. With us, a female supervisor joins every lesson live and listens to the whole class.

Can parents watch the lessons?

At both, yes, live and without asking first. We also record every lesson, and parents can watch their child’s recordings through our CRM. LiveQuranLessons describes its lessons as “never a group, never a recording”.

Which is better for Hifz?

LiveQuranLessons publishes 45- and 60-minute Hifz lessons, five days a week. Our lessons are 30 minutes, and for Hifz we suggest five a week. If your child copes well with longer lessons, the longer Hifz plans may suit better; ask in the trial.

Yes. Book the free trial, tell us where your child is in the Qaida or Quran, and the teacher starts from there. Our guide to [switching Quran academy](/blog/switching-quran-academy/) covers the rest.
