Does my child need Noorani Qaida if they can already read a little?

The short answer
Not always. If your child already reads the Quran correctly, they can skip the Qaida. But many children who “can read” have small gaps, like mixed-up sounds or rushed long vowels. A teacher can check in one class and, if needed, go back only to the lessons that fix those gaps.

Gaps teachers often find
- Similar letters sounding the same
- Long vowels cut short
- Sukoon and shaddah skipped
- Reading from memory rather than the page
- Stopping in the middle of a word
How a quick refresher works
The teacher does not start from page one. They pick the lessons your child needs, often just a few, then move back to the Quran. For many children this takes a few weeks, not months.
Quick questions
Will my child feel bored going back to the Qaida?
Not if it is short and targeted. Most children like seeing their reading get cleaner.
My child learned at the masjid. Do they need to restart?
No. The teacher builds on what they know and only fixes the gaps.
