Noorani Qaida classes
Noorani Qaida is the beginner’s book that teaches children to read Arabic before they read the Quran. It moves from single letters to joined letters, vowel marks, tanween, long vowels, sukoon and shaddah. Our children learn from the OQLS Qaida, our own colourful 17-lesson book, one-to-one and at their own pace. For families in the United Kingdom, lessons are set in your own local time (GMT in winter, BST in summer); after school is usually 4:30–8pm, and we suggest 2 classes a week — £32 a month (about £4.00 a lesson).
The 29 Arabic letters, each with its correct sound and makhraj (where it is pronounced).
How letters change shape at the start, middle and end of a word.
A male or female teacher, your choice, so your child feels at ease and keeps moving forward.
She listens to the whole class, so it stays safe, kind and on track.

Kind, checked teachersID, certificates and a watched demo before they teach a child.
“My kids have learnt so much within such a short space of time. Very impressed would definitely recommend.”

Pictures of the mouth and throat show where each sound comes from, so children say it right from day one.

Some letters are said with a full mouth. This page shows which ones, so they never sound thin.

How letters change shape when they join. This is the step where many children get stuck, so we take it slowly.

Fathah, kasrah and dammah: the small marks that turn letters into sounds your child can read.
Practice between classes: A few minutes a day reading the row from class out loud. You do not need to read Arabic to help.

The 29 Arabic letters, each with its correct sound and makhraj (where it is pronounced).
How letters change shape at the start, middle and end of a word.
Fatha, kasra and damma, then the double marks of tanween.
Madd letters, leen, and resting a letter with sukoon.
Doubling a letter with shaddah, and the nasal ghunnah on noon and meem.
Noon and meem sakinah rules, qalqalah, and the stop signs of the Quran, so your child can read on their own.
Rather than promise a date, the teacher watches the first week of lessons and then gives you an honest estimate. Every monthly report shows the lesson your child is on, so you can see the progress yourself.
Our suggestion: 2 classes a week. Two classes a week give a young child time to practise each row between lessons. Every class is 30 minutes and one-to-one, and the fee is the same for every course and for a male or female teacher.
Prices in pounds sterling for the UK. Paid monthly. No enrolment fee, no contract. Every plan starts with the free trial, and you choose the number of classes after it.
A female supervisor joins every lesson live and listens to the whole class, from salaam to the last ayah.
Classes run 24/7. These after-school and weekend windows fit around the school day, on GMT or BST.

Yes. Every family in the United Kingdom chooses a male or female teacher, and a female supervisor joins every lesson live.
It varies with age and how many classes a week a child takes. Rather than promise a date, the teacher watches the first week of lessons and then gives you an honest estimate.
Yes. Four-year-olds learn letters and sounds through short, repeated practice. A one-to-one lesson lets the teacher slow down, repeat and keep it playful.
No. Your child learns from our own OQLS Qaida, and the teacher shares each page on screen in every lesson.

Reading the Quran itself, starting with short surahs, with Tajweed rules added as the child reads.
A madrasah gives your child a class and a community, and a good one is worth keeping. What it usually cannot give is one-to-one attention: evening classes often run at fifteen or twenty children per teacher. Many families do both — madrasah at the weekend, one-to-one online during the week.

Your child can learn Quran and Islamic studies together in the same 30-minute class, or take just one subject. You choose, and the teacher shapes each lesson around your child.
Live, always. Your child reads with a real teacher on a video call, never a recorded course. Lessons are also recorded, so you can ask for the recording any time.
Your child, the teacher and a female supervisor who listens to the whole lesson. You are welcome to join too, any time.
