Learn Quran Centre vs Online Quran Learnings
Checked 2026-10-27 · Updated 2026-10-27 · By Online Quran Learnings
The short answer
Learn Quran Centre costs less than we do on every plan, in pounds. It is a London-based online Quran school that teaches one-to-one in 30-minute lessons, as we do. Two lessons a week are £20 a month on weekdays (£25 at weekends) there and £32 with us; five a week are £35 there and £48 with us. The gap is £7 to £14 a month, depending on the plan (our sums).
What the difference in price buys, and what each publishes: a female supervisor joins every one of our lessons, every lesson is recorded for parents to watch, every child is tested each month, and our refund window stays open for 5 days after the first paid class. Learn Quran Centre’s pages do not mention a supervisor, recordings or parents watching live; it tests students every four months. It does publish a clear standard for every teacher (Hafiz-e-Quran, a Tajweed course and an Islamic studies degree). Ours is a check of ID and certificates, an interview and a demo class, with huffaz for Hifz.
Online Quran Learnings publishes this page and is one of the two academies compared, so we may benefit if you choose us. Every fact about Learn Quran Centre comes from Learn Quran Centre’s own pages (listed under Sources), read on 27 October 2026. Prices and policies change, so please check Learn Quran Centre’s site before you pay, and tell us if anything here is wrong.
Where we fit: a female supervisor in every lesson, every lesson recorded for parents, from £25 a month and a free trial of up to 3 days with no card. See the table ↓

| Teachers and checks | Male and female. | Lessons | Online Quran Learnings | Learn Quran Centre |
|---|---|---|
| 1 a week (4 a month) | £25 a month, £300 a year | £15 a month, £180 a year (on its refund policy page only; its packages page lists nothing below two a week) |
| 2 a week (8 a month) | £32 a month, £384 a year | £20 a month on weekdays, £240 a year; £25 at weekends, £300 a year |
| 3 a week (12 a month) | £39 a month, £468 a year | £25 a month, £300 a year |

| 5 a week (20 a month) | £48 a month, £576 a year | £35 a month, £420 a year |
Both academies teach 30-minute lessons and price in pounds for UK families. Year totals are twelve months of the monthly price, our sum. Learn Quran Centre does not state a registration fee, and we charge none. Its packages page labels the five-a-week package 15% off without saying off what, and it says a family discount applies after the trial without giving a figure. We have no sibling discount; each child has their own class and fee.
The gap: Learn Quran Centre is cheaper at every level, by £7 to £14 a month, which is £84 to £168 over a year (our sums). On our plans the price per lesson falls as you add lessons, from £6.25 for 4 lessons to £2.40 for 20. Learn Quran Centre’s Hifz classes last 60 minutes; ours are 30, 45 or 60 minutes, five days a week, with huffaz as teachers (online Hifz program).

Who teaches, and who is in the lesson with your child
Learn Quran Centre publishes the conditions a teacher must meet: a Hafiz-e-Quran who has completed a Tajweed course and holds a university degree in Islamic Studies, followed by one month of paid training. Its quality page says every student takes a test three times a year, and a performance report is emailed. Its pages do not say where its teachers are based, whether anyone else sits in the lesson, whether parents can watch, or whether lessons are recorded. They do not mention a DBS or other background check either. Our teachers are mostly based in Egypt, the UAE, India and Pakistan, and we do not claim a DBS check.
With us: every teacher has their ID and certificates checked, an interview and a demo class our team watches, and training before a first student. Then, in every lesson:
- A female supervisor joins every lesson live and listens from start to finish (child safety).
- Parents can join any class live, without telling us first.
- Every lesson is recorded on the academy’s own Google Meet, and parents can watch their child’s recordings through our CRM.
- Teachers never message a child outside class. Every message goes through our team to you.
- If a teacher is not the right fit, we change them. You do not need to give a reason.
Tests: Every child is tested at the end of each month, and the monthly progress report is based on that test.

Free trial and refunds
- Trial: Learn Quran Centre offers 3 days of free trial classes after registration, with no card, and does not say how many classes fall in those 3 days. We offer up to 3 days of real lessons free, with no card.
- Refunds: Learn Quran Centre charges monthly in advance after the trial and refunds the monthly fee only if you withdraw before the month starts; once a class has been taken it does not give refunds, and missed classes are not refunded, though it offers make-up classes for those days. We refund in full if you ask within 5 calendar days of the first paid class, and after that we deduct the classes attended and refund the rest (refund policy).
- Registration fee: Learn Quran Centre does not state one on the pages we read. We charge none.

Which suits your family
Learn Quran Centre may suit you if price matters most (it costs £7 to £14 a month less than we do, depending on the plan), you like a published standard for every teacher, or you prefer a company with a London office. It also fits a family that is happy with a test every four months and does not need a supervisor in the lesson or recordings.
We may suit you if you want a supervisor in every lesson and a recording you can watch afterwards, one fixed teacher your child keeps, and a price that drops per lesson as you add classes: from £25 a month for one lesson a week to £48 for five. UK families pay in pounds (fees).
Both offer a free trial with no card, so the fairest test is to book both, sit in on the lessons and see which teacher your child listens to. Our questions to ask in a free trial help you compare like for like, and more UK options are side by side in our best online Quran academies for kids in the UK guide.
